The Bookmarks & Favourites Thread!!

Yeah, look man.
Just post your bookmmarks. Lets make a depository. I don't want to see Blackcornflake's sites or Twist's Gary Coleman baching sites or Paul's websites dealing with fruity elves. Just games.
Or any sites dealing with George Romero are ok too.
And strawberry croissants.

Here's how to do it:
Export your bookmarls in IE or Netscape or Opera via the "Export Bookmark" utility. Now, go into Netscape composer or IE Frontpage and edit out all your gay sites and such. just leave the games sites and George Romero sites and sites dealing with strawberry filled croissants. post it in the zone. That's it. I dd it already.

Aw, what a cool thread. Excellent array of sites too, Fred.

You dig strategy games, I can tell. Matt D`Wrecker is a kindred soul. Youse two must have a game sometime. WWII is his bag, playing as Germany. Big-scale strategy or squad-based, he's not fussed. Me, I don't dig them.

Something I do dig: http://purplesensi.cjb.net/

Sorry, but my main computer, with all my bookmarks (and scanned reviews of Napalm, Myst and Chaos Engine 2, and my CD32 game screen grabs) is shot, and getting worked on right now.

Great idea Fred!!!! People can never have too many Retro links.

I'll whack a package together, but in the meantime here is the very first EMU site I ever visited.

Paul's EMU Page

Hasn't been updated in a while (Feb 2002) and suffered from a corporate "gutting" over the years, but it's what got me hooked.

I have only a few sites on the bookmarks, most of them in portuguese.

I usually type the urls from my head, I am just smart enough to memorize the urls of all sites I usually visit. Yes, I am that good

Edit: When I get home, if I remember, I´ll post my bookmarks here

Paul, Bloody and Shatty! That's the spirit! I wanted to do this, beacuse I found someone's book marks online and it was incredibly helpful! So, maybe we can all find gems or really helpful sites this way
Bloody, I remember, that Paul's page one of the early sites I visited. I am not of the exact site at the beginning of my emulation addiction. (The first ones I visited were Zophar's, Dave VGC and Retrogaming.com.).Those were recommended to me. But below is a link to one of the first I found., using the once good search engine, goto.com.

Warning!

Annoying, loud and kinda scary music plays upon opening!!

http://members.aol.com/masteremu/links.html

This site is terrible outdated, but I LOVE finding internet relics. Or "ghost sites"

My bookmarks are in the zone.

It's a text file because Opera exports them in this way, so you can either read them in your favourite text editor (i guess Word should be capable of this ) or import them in Opera.

Good browsing.

I don't remember if i edited off those sites , but i'm sure you'll find a couple of italian sites (so you can improve your knowledge ).

OT: is it true that is easy now to hear many americans say "capisc" instead of "do you understand me" ?
I read it on an italian forum and i'm wondering if this is really true, because in this case it's not only english to contaminate italian language but also the contrary (well that slang is more "napolitan" than italian but ... ).

Pretty common phrase, but usually by smarmy types trying to appear clever. Unconvincingly...much the same way "Ciao!" gets passed around.
