Super Tennis Champs too slow

Hi

Anyone else having Super Tennis Champs playing real slow?

I'm in a A600 68k, but I don't think the game should be that slow. Weird it only happens when the ball is moving. When a point is scores and the ball stops, the game works properly. It feels like it's running at half the speed the rest of the time.

Maybe too many blitterwaits. Unnecessary on 68000. But since Psygore NEVER shares his source, we cannot check.

I've opened a case on Mantis for this.

What's a blitterwait? Is it to make the game run at a correct speed on faster machines?

Yes, something like that I reckon.
This problem is normal, lots of games have it. Try Zool 2 and die while waiting. I wish someone can fix Zool 2 because it runs a lot better from floppy.

Yeah, there are games where I get slowdowns that I don't remember having back at the time, and I am never sure if its WHDload adding slowdown or is my nostalgia memories fooling me.

By the way don't get your hopes up, it's a really difficult/unplayable game in my opinion. The iOS version is a lot better, the creator added a lot of really cool Virtua Tennis-like functionality which I think the Amiga version really needs to be playable. If you have an iPad or iPhone give it a try because it's very worth it.
