Looking for a Very Old Game - Possibly BBC or Acorn

Played this back at secondary school - possibly 1st year - so we are talking 1987/8

May have been on a BBC or Acorn

Very basic, but the story was a horse had been kidnapped and you had to find it. Visit different locations, etc. A very basic / simple adventure game.

Cannot remember much by the way of graphics - I seem to recall it was mainly a simple overhead map

Not holding out muh hope of finding this one

If it was at school, virtually guaranteed it was an Acornsoft game.

It wasn't just Acornsoft games they had at school, could have been a 4mation game (they of Granny's Garden and Flowers of Crystal fame). But I don't recall the game you're talking about I'm afraid.

Found this thread whilst looking for potentially the same game.

Do you remember if the horse was called "Garsher"? a play on the name of the real horse "Shergar".

Wow, someone else who played this. Name rings a bell but cannot be too sure. Did you olay it at school too?
