REQ: CGX update -> CGXSYSTEM.LIBRARY v42.7

We need the cgx4 update that will make CGXSYSTEM.LIBRARY v42.7 , so we can test a program that patches cgx and makes the Multimedia&Design video switcher an automatic one.. anyone has it?

Test oke I have a autoswitch now

So I have a Multimedia & Design digital monitor switch
And a DCE Scanmagic internal and a piccolo 2mb
I have a nice 1024*768 workbench and it autoswitch nice to for example whdload games (i played cannon fodder)
Its a perfect solution.
Only downsite is that it only works on cybergraphics.
So i can kiss my new mediator goodby as it only works with p96
mebay there is a program like cgxpatch for the p96.
If you know a program for this please let me know

It should only take a short time for any programmer with picasso96 experience to hack in. Set Parallel port bit 13 when going into AGA passthrough.

If the P96 driver for your gfx card was open-source then it would take even less time.

Probably a good place to ask would be the people who re-worked P96 for the Pegasus.

Man - Great news. Will this autoswitch also work with an CVPPC and an DCE Scandoubler(intern)? And are higher versions of CGX supportet or only v42.7 of cgxsystem.library? That would be great!!!

Yes I think it works with all graphicscard that support CGX except if you have a mediator like me so no pci card support because mediator works with p96.
Can anybody hack the p96 driver to set the Parallel port bit 13 when going into AGA passthrough?
I hope so because i don't now anyting about coding

Means: autoswitch for all graphic cards !

Dce scanmagic works i have one inside my tower.
cvppc also works as writen inside the documention.

CGXsystem.library 42.7 and up support this you have to use CGXPatch link inside the doc.

@wizard66: Thanks for the information. I have a mediator too with a Voodoo3-3000 and a CVPPC(for MorphOS and CGX-programms). I`m also interested in such a solution for P96. But as far as I know you have to made a connection to Pin 13 of the ParallelPort. How does it influence this Port. Can you use a printer, digitizer or sampler without problems? Have you tried it out?

I think I will order such a Monitorswitch by MMDesign now. ;O)

That's right pin 13 of parallelport, i have no use for this port because i don't use printers and stuff like that.
So i can't give you any info about hardware conecting to the par.port
The docs state. there has been a lot of trouble useing the parallelerport
adviced is to get a fast parallelerport card.
So botomline is trouble in combination with ohter devices.

so that's two that needs a patch for picasso96
