Your right,

The RGB Status pin is connected, but abviously the signal voltage is to low for panasonics "over sensitive" scart socket.

I will have to look into this.

That table you uploaded seemed to indicate that RGB is selected by default, and your checking the options available on AV1 and AV2 confirms this.

I wonder why the SCART inputs won't recognize RGB signals, then.

Because it's a Panasonic TV

Sorry Kitty, I just like to rub it in a bit get a Sony and your troubles will disappear. Mind you, this TV has got Freesat, Freeview, Q-Link, Veira Link etc. etc. it's got quite a lot of features. Must of cost a bomb Kitty?

I used to have a Sony TV, but the reason I never bought another one is because all Sony TV's have a very high pitch hum, not noticable to the naked human ear, but as I'm a kitten, it bugged the hell out of me

The tv cost me £750, that was in John Lewis in July this year, its a good tv, I never had any problems with it really

I watch my TV with my clothes on and I don't hear any high pitch hums

Quite expensive for a 32" but then with all those features, it will bump the price up, but then again John Lewis seem to be cutting their TV prices and thing are getting much cheaper, for now

Main reason for the expense was its full 1080p 100hertz, theres not many (if any) hd televisions as good as that in 32"
All other 32" hd tvs I looked at were all 50hertz which is noticable in Bluray Movies and HD Television.
You can probaly pick this model up now for £600, now thats its a bit older, I bought it when it had just come out.

According to the pdf (which actually is a spec-sheet), the telly is multisystem "Receiving System (AV input) PAL-60, NTSC, M-NTSC" although that isn't the user's manual, so i wouldn't know if changing tv systems is automatic or user-selectable. You could do either of two things: Plug the scart lead and select the PAL output from your Minimig menu, or plug the scart lead and select NTSC input from your telly.. (the latter just in case your Minimig is set to NTSC video). I don't think it's that hard to check :-)
Oh and by the way, no matter the appliance, be it a computer, games console, vcr, dvd -what-have-you, the scart output will always be inferior to the VGA one!

I would have thought it was for the Freesat that is built into it. Which is basically a sky box.

^ Yes it is, just checked, it allows those who use Freesat to watch BBC iplayer programs from the past 7 days.
Quote:
BBC Freesat has been manufactured and produced with downloadable content in mind, meaning you, the viewer, can download and watch 'On Demand TV' at the touch of a button. Your BBC Freesat satellite receiver will download and utilise the infamous BBC iPlayer, providing you access to the past seven days worth of viewing, so you can watch missed programmes and catch up on your favourite soap or TV shows!

All you require is a BBC Freesat satellite receiver connected to your internet/broadband connection to be able to utilise this service
