The main thing for those games is the following :

1) no A500 version, A1200 only.

2) hard drive mandatory + 16mb of Fast ram minimum.

3) even 128 colors are enough for such games. 256 if a coder thinks it can be done.

There were many games discussed so it is not clear to me which ones this "those" refers to.

Most Capcom games. The A500 is out of question on such games. Otherwise, you'd need tons of RAM.

A proper version of double dragon 1 would be awesome(and doable for OCS),because frankly the official one is horrible, in every way .

Doom.

That's what I wish.

But noooo, id Software were too enamoured with the PC at that point.

Ironic, considering it did eventually come out as a source port and worked extremely well indeed.

Claiming that Doom works well on an 1993 Amiga is stretching the truth quite a bit

Quite some PC games that the Amiga just missed the boat on would have been cool such as Z and Settlers 2.

...Then theres the problem that likely those games would have suffered back from being scaled down to lores.. higher resolutions is what enabled these games to be much complexer and involved.

Indeed, and the alternative would have been to target expanded machines instead, which is how it worked in the PC arena. There's no reason either of those games wouldn't have run on an expanded Amiga - Settlers II ran very well on my Shapeshifter setup for example, and lists a 68030 and 16MB in its system requirements. The problem with ports like that is that people wanted them to run on their unexpanded A500s, somehow blinded to the reality of the Amiga's capabilities by devotion to their machines.

Some ports were made, and ran well on expanded Amigas, so it was perfectly possible once people were realistic about upgrading their machines. Earth 2140 is a great example that I thoroughly enjoyed on my A1200.

This is one of the question you think you can easily answer, but after some thinking, and after some reading of the posts, it get's quite hard.

Games that I wish to be ported:
- Master of orion 1&2
(for me, even MOO2 didn't had better graphics then Reunion, and gameplay is a little bit similar)
- Diablo 1
(actually, I don't think that would be a particularly "very hard to do" port. Not sure, thou)
- Ruff'n'Tumble
(hah... just kidding)
- Disciples 1&2
(I even saw once a port of Disciples on java mobile... it wasn't bad)
- Heroes 1&2

Games I wish to be ported, but I am not sure they can't be ported.
(even on most badass Amiga's)

- Starcraft
- Cadillac and Dinosaurus
- Heroes 3
- Civilization 3
- Might and Magic VI, VII, VIII
- Homeworld
(well, let's just imagine pyramids as spaceships (much simpler then Frontier), but same gameplay).

The Goonies. If it exists, I can't find it. from C64.

EDIT: Oh, and the Castles of Dr. Creep. Also from the C64.

I never owned a C64 but I played a lot of games at a friends house. Those two I really enjoy(ed) playing then and now in emulation.

Hi d4rk3lf,

I have a ported version of homeworld running on my Morphos system. But that doesn't count I suppose, it is a Morphos amiga like system on a mac miniG4.... It is a version where you must add all data files from the pc cdrom version to the directory of the amiga (morphos) homeworld port.

Please don't kill me.....

Hummm, not an easy question indeed...
After thinking a while, here is a small list with 6 names from Arcade and 6 from PC/Console.

From Arcade :
- Wonderboy
- Jackal
- Gradius series & spin-off (Salamander, Parodius)
- Cliff Hanger
- Out Run
- Metal Slug

From PC & Console :
- Faery Tale Adventure II : Halls of the dead
- Simon the sorcerer series (the ones not available for the Amiga)
- The Legend of Kyrandia series (the ones not available for the Amiga)
- Final Fantasy series
- Super Mario series
- The Legend of Zelda series

*some of the games are part of a series. If a port has to be considered, let's begin with the first one .

More UFO: Enemy Unknown series games.
More graphic adventures from PC land.
Many C64 titles (enriched) - although this is a risk as I know some that failed to port successfully (that was the fault of the dev of course).

Stranger things - the best free android game i've played in a long time, but I was always thinking this needs to be on Amiga. Go play it by the way, it's ad free (because it-self promotes the show).

A couple i wanted back in the day

Prince Of Persia 2
The Settlers II

There isnt too many that i wanted because i was looking forward to the games that were planned for the Amiga, some i hoped for, but had realistic ambitions of what could be ported and what needed an expensive PC to run.
