Totally AGREE !!!... To say they are RESPONSIBLE is IRRESPONSIBLE !!!

Plus Code Masters today are shit!.. They were the best when they were making 8 bit and some okish 16 bit games, but now they are like Atari, just a name label to the same old shitty non-original PC games.

I dunno, Race Driver: GRID while not an original game (are there any original games these days?) is a top racer. The gfx are extraordinary, and the gameplay / physics are spot on.

Overlord: Raising Hell looks like a cool remake of Dungeon Keeper by Blizzard which cant be bad cos I loved that game and still play DK2 from time to time.

Overlord whilst looking similar to Dungeon Keeper is nothing like it as such. The basic gameplay is the same but it just doesn't capture the spirit of being evil.

If only Graftgold had produced lots of crappy budget games instead of quality full price titles then they might be honoured too - and still around.

The Darling Brothers have been knighted

Who'd have thunk it... Publishing the "Dizzy" games and hacking the NES's lock-out chip is enough to get you a CBE these days...

AMEN

How many of the original codemasters games were actually good?

I can't remember anything sticking out to be honest.

Can't beat "pump out crap, sell, repeat" as a business strategy

Maybe it's one I can adopt

Micro Machines was a really fun top view racer. And I guess some people here consider Dizzy a good game series...

yes, a game I like on the c64, ( it had that dizzy thing in, eep)

crap, I can't remember it's name

you walk around a maze rescuing little cute things and you help them escape

and between levels there was a castle

:/

I can't remember.

I will now punish myself playing "BMX Simulator"

Micro Machines (Amiga version) and Race Driver on the PC/PSP were quite good IMHO.

are these earlier games or later?

there's only one solution, go through the whole back catalogue

edit: and by "original" I mean, from the 80's

Well, Micro Machines was released in '93 and first Race Driver in 2003.
But why are only games from the 80s original Codemasters games?

I didn't say they were specifically, it was just a turn of phrase

a use of language

a painting with words

what I should have saide "when the darling's were codemasters"

is that better?
