Sensible Soccer Intl Ed - address error

I have an A600 with 2MB CHIP and 2MB FASTRAM (PCMCIA SRAM)

I am trying to play Sensible Soccer International Edition - the WHDload patch comes with two Slaves:

512KB - runs OK

1MB - fails
Quote:
Exception "Address Error" ($F00C)
PC = $63EE26 (Slave $986)
Write to $7
Any ideas?

Thanks,
matt

I am not an Amiga geek, but I suspect it is trying to write to a memory address that is not there or is being used already by WB or whdload. Similar to your other Sensible Soccer problem. I would make an even wilder guess and say that whdload cannot see/use the fast ram and most of the chip ram is being used, so whdload cannot run things which need 1mb or more. It seems like you only have half a meg available for games to use.

Maybe somebody has a work around or fix?

I just don't think 2MB Fast RAM is enough for a lot of WHDLoad games to be able to run.

I have an A600 with 2MB Chip and 2MB PCMCIA Fast Ram and although a lot of Demo's run there are quite a number of games that don't.

Looking forward to getting an 8MB Fast Ram card to prove this right or Wrong...!

My setup is enough for this game, but...

From the author of the WHDload slave for this game:

Quote:
Hello,

There was a bug with basm when generating asm code.
It was fixed but I forget to update it.

Regards,
Philippe
So I guess we need to wait for the updated package...

I do believe it is the memory that is the issue, since you had created a previous thread about a different swos and memory was the issue as well. Unless that wasn't you who created the thread...

See above, it has been confirmed by the author above as an error in the Slave.
