Virus program for A500

I promised to help some fellow Amigan by bringing him a floppy that had a virus program on it. Problem is I forgot that A500 is 1.3 and I can not seem to find any program that would run on a floppy on a500.

He needs it to clean his infected disks.

VT 3.17 should work on A500. The whole packet don`t fit on one disk, so exclude the docs (1,3MB) somewhere else.

I have created a 1.3 Workbench disk and copied all the BootX file together with an updated brainfile then used blizkick to change into 1.3 rom, but when I run the BootX, it complains about not being able to load BootX.config file and then it gurus. The same file can run using 3.9 environment.

I tried saving the settings and copying the file to DF0: but it does not change anything.

which version of BootX you are using? the version on aminet want OS 2.x or newer.

you can try VirusTest 3.17 it is just one binary (350 kb) you have to copy.
once started, you can try Filetest, BlockTest, BlockKette.

just tested it with kickstart/wb 1.3 it starts, but gives a guru when using filetest ( after choosing a DEVS - deviice).
maybe you've got more luck with it.

I run NUKE 1.5a on my Amiga 500. Not sure if it works from a floppy as I have mine on the GVP sidecar.

I found an older one from a pd disk and updated the brainfile from the aminet. It is working with A500 but it detects every file in a Workbench 1.3 disk as a virus for some weird reason.
