Game credits

Why PC credits are stored for Amiga versions? For example music for Hannibal and Space M.A.X. games was done by Chris Link, perhaps prograammer/coder is also different, only graphics info is perhaps correct.

A bit late, but fixed. If anyone owns those games, it would be great if they could look up the credits in the manual.

Space MAX credits:

Program: Rene Straub
Music : Chris Link (ACA)
$VER: SpaceMAX 1.15 by Rene Straub

Hannibal credits:

Final Ver. V1.23(2.7.1993)
$VER: Hannibal V1.23 (2.7.1993) by Daniel Blatter

You can add also PC credits, due PC graphics were converted to Amiga. Perhaps some C code too, and maybe music too.

OK. More fixes.
Next Amiga games has no musics:

688 Attack Sub
http://hol.abime.net/2367

Retaliator

http://hol.abime.net/480

But musician are credited. Or maybe you know/have Amiga version within music? Only Atari ST version of Retaliator has music. Perhaps Amiga version of Retaliator was created after Atari ST version.

Thanks, 688 fixed. F29 Retaliator gives credit for both music and sound effects to Matthew Cannon, so it stays. The 'slot' is for both, but maybe that gets changed... sometime

The "musician" field is probably my biggest annoyance in hol and has been for a long time.

If I remember right exist two original versions of F-29 Retaliator. First has two disks and second only one, Matthew Cannon is credited to sound effects only for second (newest) version, due Amiga version has no music.

The only hint for a one disk version I can find is the Skid Row crack and you can see the decrunch 'rainbow', so I think it's rather a 'one disk' version made by them. The SPS (2 disk) release doesn't show the credits screen, but the sound effects are the same as the scene version that does. Do you have any other info about it?

Skid Row crack is different game version, created later by game authors. This is perhaps rare original enough version, but must exist in some game collections. This version uses SSUR packer (Russ Payne Packer) and Skid Row don't have access to this cruncher, due this is one from DID crunchers. Also if I remember right exists two versions of 2-disked game, one has credits similar to one disk version. I tested all available Retaliator version, when I try to find version within music. Perhaps you can split some infos in HOL, f.e. also Epic has two versions, first version works only from disks and second only from HD (was part of A600HD). SPS collection is not complete for most Amiga titles.

I know. I will discuss those infos and how to deal with them later. Still the fact that the credit screen doesn't show up in some versions doesn't mean the effects aren't done by the same artist (especially if they are the same).

For me 2 disks (cracked ?) version of Retaliator looks like beta/prefinal/stolen version and contains some incorrect infos. Of course Matthew Cannon made SFX for this game, but no music was used in Amiga versions of this game.
