I think you'll be able to play these games from HD in 2010.

I had a look at ManU Premier League Champions some days ago, fixed a bug in one of the patches but it still dies. And since 2010 has just started, I still have a lot of time to finish these patches. :P Seriously though, don't expect anything soon since these patches are not too easy to do.

Thanks for the update StingRay - how about "Man U - The Double": any luck/progress with that game?

Did not look at it again so far, for a very simple reason: both games feature similar code so once the patch for PLC works "The Double" is easy to patch and should work too. That's why I am only looking at PLC. =)

Cool, thanks for explaining that StingRay, I wondered if one patch would basically work for both.

Some news: I just managed to make ManU-The Double run from HD, there are still some config related problems to solve though but might be possible that a first beta slave will appear soon. =)

Attached is the slave for Manchester United - The Double. Please test and report problems as usual. Load/save is supported, before you save for the first time time, you HAVE to use the "Format disk" option. "CUSTOM2=1" will enable the french language. Does anyone know how "Load edited database" is supposed to work? Game is looking for a disk 4 ("DBL4"), are these data disks? I found no way to save any database thus this option will currently not work. If someone can tell me how it works I can easily support it.

It is only the slave, I can upload the disk images to The Zone! for you.
Edit: disks are in The Zone! now. |

No problem =) You will have to "steal" an icon from somewhere if you don't want to start the slave from shell. But that shouldn't be a problem I think.

Some more news: ManU PLC works now too. Will have to patch the load/save stuff and then the first beta slave is ready.

OK, I finished the PLC patch, so far it only supports the SPS 1790 version (disk images are in The Zone!), once it has been tested I'll add support for SPS 135. Load/save is supported and you also have to use the "Format Disk" option before you save for the first time.

Thank you Sting ,
just tested MU the double , all seems perfect , disk.3 is created and once "formated" with the option saves are here !! Custom2=1 for french language works too But some texts are missing as some windows , will tell you more about but perhaps the translation isn't so good , let me know if you want more info about. Don't know at the moment how to load an edited Data base , perhaps with the data discs from Krisalis as it seems we can save something only during a season (don't know if i'm wrong or not here) and this doesn't create an edited data base but a "save position". F10 key works. Thanks again |
