Patience is golden. Looks like no one who can upload to whdload.de was at home during the weekend and thus it wasn't uploaded to the WHDLoad site yet. For the time being I'll attach the updated version here.

Hi all,
a little question: where is it possible to download KO2 CV v1.04 from? http://www.camber.demon.co.uk is not reachable because of a DNS error. Is there another place at all? Please note that I don't need just the file, what I need is a URL that will remain valid for the foreseeable future in order to create a tool that will let AmigaOS 4 users install and run the game transparently on their system (it's part of the "helpers" project of glUAE). Thanks in advance. |

@lolafg
Thank you I had actually stumbled upon that page, but it did't look what I was looking for because it focuses on the Final Whistle variant. So, let me ask, is KO2FW what is officially used for competitions, now? |

The helper can now be freely downloaded from the HELPERS page of the glUAE website. Last edited by saimo; 04 December 2011 at 13:16. |

It's been a while since the last update. I just updated the patch and added support for Competition versions 1.05, 1.06 and 1.07. Updated patch will appear on the WHDLoad site shortly.

I didn't know that versions 1.06 and 1.07 had been released, so your update message turned out to be useful twice, as it prompted me to update the glUAE helper, which now will install version 1.07 (instead of 1.05).

Just sent a new update of the Kick Off 2 patch to Wepl a few minutes ago, it now supports the 1.6g version (thanks to Irek for the disk image) and the Competition version support has been updated too, I talked with Steve Camber (coder of the Competition version) and we found a nice solution, all future Competition versions should now be supported without the need for an updated patch.

I reckon he did it just to stop receiving these annoying emails from me every time a new version is out.
So is this magic patch good for Final Whistle too? Not just for plain KO2? |

That's what I thought. Because you accidentally posted the news in the FW thread.

No, not accidentally. This thread is for both patches, it started with a request for a patch for the KO2 FW competition version and after that I made the KO2 patch. Rest is, as they say, history.

I confirm that the new slave works fine with KO2CV1.07. I can't wait for Steve to release a new version so that I can test whether it will indeed be automatically supported.
Question, when that happens do I simply replace Disk.1 or do I have to reinstall the whole thing from scratch? Only Kick Off 3 AGA left for you to complete the entire series StingRay. |

Indeed, too bad KO3 is a rather bad game compared to KO2. |

Sorry I am stuck trying to run cv 1.07. I copy the latest fixed slave, make disk.1 using DIC from the cv 1.07 ADF and I get this message:
what's wrong? |
