btw,the sega cd can do 64 colours at the same time..the cd32 can do 256 but in this particular game I feel that the cd32 version contains only 64 colours.... because was directly ported without enchancements and because the cd32 can't do it fast at a 256 colour screen another example is the game Flink cd32...also ported from the Sega CD and again the sega cd version was better...(professedly) with less colours bye |

sorry laser but look at the 2 pictures don't tell me that there is no difference of colors and the megacd graphics are better
first one on the left megacd second one cd32. If you told me that the megacd has best graphics, we could make a poll Last edited by turrican3; 13 February 2008 at 02:29. |

I like it and just played it two days ago!
I have to admit though that it´s not THAT fascinating as it was back in 1994. Why not program a slave that accesses the Microcosm-CD? I can imagine many more games needing this kind of "drivers". E.g. Shadow of the Third moon (in various versions for 030,040,060), Joyride,...and all the other buggy games from 1996-2000. |

Microcosm simply isn't worth the effort to code a slave for.
Everyone is agreed that its a poor imitation of a game, lots of people don't own it as an original, it was never 'cracked' because of its lack of playability, and the work required to make it possible for it to 'play' under WHDLoad is effort that would be better spent elsewhere. I can confidently predict that none of the WHDLoad install coders will do a slave for this 'game', thus this thread is now pretty redundant, as its simply not going to happen. |

I have seen both pictures.... and now I agree with you that it haven't better gfx even now I think that maybe the sega version runs at 32 colours...maybe the programmers reduced colours to gain speed however the megacd version is faster...it haven't better gfx or more colours than the cd32 but it's fast and smooth anyways I prefer the commodore 64 version bye |

Heh, playing now and it's a nice game.... and I LOVE the cool pause screen... it's a pic of the CD with some text and has a cool sound beat to it while paused....
Have to play this one from beginning till end in one go as I can't use savestates.... and CD32 state save support is "work in progress". |

Ok, this big and hard (like my dick)... so donno if I'm up to completing it... I have to get to all the blue dots on the map, then when they are all red I navigate to the middle dot and face the boss... righ?..... well.. it's a labyrinth sort of.... if I take a wrong turn, I might have to start over from a point I've already been through which will take like 5 mins to reach the point where I took the wrong turn so I this time can try ther other turn.. eh....
biiiig game... need maps and stuff if it's gonna be easier. |
