Question Games that go "out of screen"

Someone can explain me why some games (see example picture)
don't fit in the screen even if i use WinUAE at the windowed resolution of 640 x 512 ?

some games like wendetta 2175,benefactor or alien breed series use a high overscan and run for ex at 350x270 .......instead a normal 320x256
on winuae if you have doubled the line you need the double of that numbers...
so ...you need at least a 700x540 screen

I never got this either... so what's the highest possible resolution a normal Amiga (500) can show?

Like john said in overscan it seems like 360x288 pixel. There are some games that need that resolution to be displayed correctly and even more demos

Thanks for the info Another World, but in this game setting the resolution higter will have no effect on the displayed screen (just try it with 720x576). However there are some games which need a higher resolution

800x600 should be enough for Benefactor.

Hmm, when I look at Another World screenshots there is just a black border in the 720x576 screenshot, but not more of the playfield. Am I missing something here?
