Creating a HardFile of 3GB

Hi,

I am trying to create a 3GB hardfile in WinUAE, but the OS does not seem to recognize it.

Even after I have added the hardfile in WinUAE as HD1, I cannot see it in the OS.

Can someone lend me hand on this one? I am quite noob when it comes to using HD files in Amiga emulation.

I am emulating an A1200 with WB3.1

I just made one and it appeared as an Unformatted Disk.

WinUAE reports:
192000/1/32, 6144000/6144000 blocks, 3000.0MB/3000.0MB
DOS............. [444F5301 00000000 00000000 00000000] [Too many cyls]

? 2 Gig limit ?

I recommend not to use partition hardfiles if drive is larger than 1G.

But if you really want to do it: increase surfaces until "too many cyls" message goes away. 16 should be large enough.

Did you add the Filesystem to the RDB? It's been a while since I've attempted to get the A1200 emulation going with a Blizzard PPC. I remember I wasn't able to, but I didn't make much attempts after I got A4000 with CSPPC going easily.
So, I'm giving the Quickstart A1200 with Blizzard PPC a go. It's getting to the point where Workbench 3.1 and Install are read/noticed, then PPC:Run but it doesn't boot. Hmm.. I did add a HardFile and attempting the different controllers..

I'm using WinUAE 3.6.1 (3/4/2018).

Only Blizzard PPC gives zero boot to floppy from Quickstart.
