Wink Midnight Resistance, which is the best version?

1. C64 (awesome) http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/c64/image/576561.html
2. Amiga (really good, I love atmosphere, music and playability)
3. Atari ST (similar to Amiga version)
4. Amstrad CPC (not so good as C64 version) http://cpcgamereviews.com/m/index5.html

I know nothing about arcade, MegaDrive and ZX Spectrum versions.

The ZX Spectrum version is actually VERY good - one of the best of its kind on that computer. http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infos...cgi?id=0003188

Great use of colour and everything.

Amstrad CPC version have different main hero ("Rambo" instead of "soldier"). It's the easiest version because it's also the slowest version. No music and basic sounds. Still it have good playability.

The best version for me is the arcade one. This is because you use the spinner / rotary joysticks, see here for more details

I did enjoy the Amiga version though

I prefer the amiga version because i dont like the rotary firing thing.

Amiga version. I also prefer the Amiga version of MERCS. Arcade version is nice, but the Amiga version has wonderful atmosphere and soundtrack.

Not true. The Amiga version is vast improvement over the original game, better controls and a well balanced gameplay.

As mentioned above I do like the Amiga version but the original Arcade is definitely the best version IMHO.

Did you guy that say the Amiga version is best ever play the Arcade version on "real" hardware? The spinners / rotary joysticks make it so much fun, same as with other classics like Heavy Barrel, Caliber Fifty etc...

You are drunk as usual, my friend. I like the Genny and Amiga versions, but both come up short. The Amiga control is definitely very good, even better than original, but it is not graphically anywhere near as good. Amiga + arcade conversions = suck, sadly.

I prefer good gameplay/playabilty over graphics, sound or even nice arcade control gadgets. The Amiga version is pure fun, the arcade was a torture.

@The Mega Drive Port:

It's way too easy, slowdowns and you can't play a co-op mode.
