Simpsons - Bart Vs The Space Mutants Disc A

I've been trying to wite the Disk A IPF to my original disc to repair it (Checksum error on track 1 according to the WHDInstall)

I've tried writing the IPF to some other discs but I still keep getting the same error on track 1

Anybody got this to work or is it just me?

You need to clean your disk. It became faulty due to mould, it has to be cleaned before rewriting anything.

Disc was cleaned prior to trying the install.

When the install failed it was cleaned again and surface checked.

There doesn't appear to be any faults with the surface.

@difrsilver

Have you managed to write the disc A ipf back onto a blank disc and got it working?

yes I got a set of simpsons that had some defect.

For a simple feedback, please dump the disk you wrote. I'll tell you what the problem is and why you can't write the IPF on it.

Hello, which version are you trying to restore on disk ?

The usual Retail version or the cartoon classics ?

From what i see, All the tracks are good, minor the copylock track, which is bad, and this is due to either the disk quality or to the fact that it is not clean enough

It's the Cartoon Classics version.

I'll try a different drive on my kryoflux and see if that improves things

I've tried several different drives on my Kryoflux, numerous discs and cleaning the drives.
I'm still getting errors on Track 1 with all the attempts I've tried.

@dlfrsilver

Could you please do me a big favour and try your luck with the IPF I dropped in the zone?
Just in case there's corruption crept in.

Maybe try another disk and if writing back the IPF works with that disk try to move the label to that disk?
