Can't save work in Amos pro
Hi folks,
I've had a good day's progress today but I can't seem to save my work. I try to type in a name and end it with .amos but every time it just take me back to the editor and flashes 'NOT DONE' in a red bar at the top of the window. I'm about to head to bed and I'm a bit gutted if I have to lose my work as I was really making some progress today. Thanks! |

If you would give more clues what you did wrong (you did), we could help.
What did you type as the filename? What was your destination drive? Did you read any Amiga manual? ;-) |

Line 1 Set Buffer 64
Line 2 end RUN the program Then save as normal When you reload, delete line 2 (However if you have any extensions loaded, this PROBABLY will not work) |

I had a similar problem when first using AmosPro and upping the buffer worked for me. Maybe it'll work in this case, maybe not, but it's surely worth a try. On further reflection, it could be that the target drive/file is write-protected and/or unwritable, however in that case an alert should be generated rather than a "not done" from Amos. From the AP Manual.... "AMOS Errors Not done This "error" is generated when you abort from an operation such as [Load], [New], or [Quit] I corn the Editor. It's also produced when the editor is unable to comply with your instructions." Although I don't have a clue what "I corn the Editor" means LOL Last edited by volvo_0ne; 30 May 2016 at 00:01. |

Is your drive write protected in the emulator settings?

Managed to solve it by restarting Winuae and I can save files now. Weird, I lost my work which is a shame but it seems to be functioning ok now.
Thanks for all the replies! |

AMOS Pro has an auto-save feature which prompts you to save regularly, unless you have disabled the feature.
