X-bEnCH - The Amiga Game Launcher (Whdload, exe, ..) and more official topic.

This looks great. Gonna have to get my 1200 and A3000 out of storage to check this out now...

Could this be a good alternative to the horribly slow menus on the CD32 888 compilations?

Hello Jim,

Sound glitch Fixed, however two remarks :

-the checkboard is slowing down towards the end of the music.

-could you add a black screen between the end of the checkboard and the begining of the game, because we can see the black window of the registered Whdload and bad colors of the workbench screen in the background or adjust good colors if it's possible (or an option could be a good idea )

Jim, Superplus doesn't work fine on my indivision MK1, but even so i have tried.
Effectively, cli doesn't works fine after a launched game, it makes the computer reboot.
Maybe Superplus user's could help you more.

Sadly it's a known issue that is due to simultaneous blitting operations & disc access.

I'm not sure of what i can do considering that you use a hack for your WB background colors. Maybe another hack to hack the hack ?

Thanx for your check of the SuperPlus mode. This confirms what has already been said by other X-bEnCh users.

Thanks for the update mate!
CLI works just fine on my SuperPlus now!

People that want to update should run the installer script. Simple file replacement doesn't work.

Hello Billy Miles.

From ibrowse simply rename the file named "file.php" that is downloaded with the download link to "xbench.lha"

Is there anyone that can point me to a tutorial on making CDTV bootable cds? I really would like a couple of diff cds i can use in my cdtv like one for games and one for demos or something...

Except the Path requester of the installer (which is based on ASL so wb2.0+) all should work (You still can enter manually the path in the text field)

@attila06: Thanx man

Hi Ebster !

Maybe i'm wrong but i think you're not trying to install the last 0.87b release who's fixing your problem but an old 0.86 or 0.85b release. Am i right ?

hi jim,

i am trying to install 0.87b - never had another version. maybe i did something wrong from the first try on. i don't know.. i have tried several times to install x-bench, always to the same path. then i read about my issue in the german a1k forum. there you wrote to put the "/" behind the path (someone had issues with 0.85). i tried it once, install finished without a guru but x-bench still wouldn't work. the next tries always ended up in gurus again

thanks anyway for trying to help me!!!

Hi again Ebster.

If you already use the 0.87b: Are you using the path requester ? If you do so you don't have to manually enter a path. "Systemrograms/" must work.

Do you extract the xb.lha with an Amiga ? Extracting the .lha with windows is corrupting the archive.
