Some hardware related questions
Hey
I have a few questions regarding Amiga 1200 and hardware/Kickstart Last first For installing OS 3.9, I need Kickstart 3.1. Can I just change the existing 3.0 or is there some twists to make 3.1 work in a standard A1200 ? I have got a slim ide cd-rom drive (from a labtop). Can I use that as an external cdrom drive directly (with an ide cable with 3 connections) or do I need an adapter ? |

You can purchase a Kickstart 3.1 ROM and swap it with the 3.0, just be careful to not bend the pins and to put it in the right way round. As for the CD-ROM drive, you will probably require a adapter.

Also you will need a CD-ROM driver software before you can use the drive. |
