Vampire team plans slander

Not making friends is one thing, but this is another...

It seems Gunnar and his friends is planning something dangerous and illegal, namely "slander" at least.

I just want to leave this picture here, in case something happens to me, to have a trace of this recorded.

1. Go to https://discord.gg/TsKm6ym

2. Go to their #general channel and scroll up. You will find those threatening messages I have attached you.

Otherwise, Gunnar is invited to comment on this. He has the right not to like me, same as I do not like his approach, but that never placed me in a role where I would attempt to do some physical harm to him, or approach him with slander.

Sorry for posting such messages here, but *that* is just unacceptable.

Greetings,

Thomas

I hate transferring problems from one forum to another.

I'd say that is some of his infamous black humour not everybody finds funny all the time. Do you really take that seriously and feel threatened? You guys have each other's telephone numbers and have actually talked to each other...

Would also say that's some misplaced black humor at display here.
Also, it would have sufficed to give this to a friend with a timestamp added in case this would really happen, which is absurd anyway.

There should have been a moderator on that forum to delete the messages, explain why, and move on. If they ignore it, then Apollo needs to re-evaluate their business plan.

It's not a forum, it is a Discord chat on the subject of Vampire accelerators.

Should I take this serious? Should I take him serious? There is a fine line between black humor and threatening someone. Let me explain:

Black humor:
Quote:
Q: What are 1000 laywers at the bottom of the see?
A: A good start.
Threatening someone:
Quote:
I want you at the bottom of the sea.
Not that I'm suggesting anything of this. Just to make you think. I am not proposing taking any particular physical or illegal action against any person, neither you, nor Gunnar. Tough discussion is one thing. Considering illegal threats is another, and no, I do not consider this funny.

He may express an opinion on my person, he surely has reasons, but there is a difference between calling me a prick or a knee-yerk (he may be right, after all), or considering plans.

Anyhow, the thing is public, so whatever comes, there is a trace of it. I hope it stays vocal, and affirmation from him that this was inappropriate would remove the threat.

It's not "humor" when somebody talks about breaking legs and making false statements to the police in an open channel on the interwebs. These days you can face real consequences of such talk IRL, depending on what the law in regard to it is in your country (which is what prompted my comment in that other thread).

It's not even about the, ahem, "BigGun" (snigger) himself, one of the brownnosers reading it might be prompted to do something stupid.

There should have been a moderator here in EAB too to lock threads like this I think.

Yes, it is not funny and it is distasteful.

So far, it has been a valid and civil discussion. The issues have relevence in the world we are all living in. These kinds of threats affect us all.

Maybe it is some kind of calling for help or a sign of it? Making such statements is not acceptable of course. Those stuff can harm others and himself. What would his family, friends or employer say and react? So, someone who knows him could do some support for help?

The breaking legs thing, come on, that kind of humor is done all the time. Not a threat.
What they joked about to Mr. Richter is serious in this day and age. That is unforgivable.
