I'm not going to comment on the demos as personally they do not interest me whatsoever (even though between us me & bippym have just renamed another 329 demos to send to jjs for inclusion ), but basically anything not already included would be wanted.

Diskmags though I am interested in Out of your list the only one not included in my diskmags dat is Outlaws 1, so if you could upload to the Zone it'd be appreciated. Of course even if the titles are included, your versions may be different...but that's another story.

no preserve them for now!

There is no way of knowing what is in tosec without looking, if you want to check through the dats to see if any are not included please feel free

If you are unsure just preserve them all.. Better to be safe than sorry later

I'm wondering - what about demo source code? Did the demo coders just trash their source? Wouldn't it be nice if there was a place to archive all surviving demo source code - for historical reasons or so that people could play around with it?

I think it would be a great way to learn Amiga assembler - compiling the code, then making modifications and see what happens. It would be a shame if the demo source was lost forever or just sitting somewhere waiting for destruction.

@bobbybearing : i guess it's a private joke but as you talk to public people, perhpas it's better to tell the story now ?

i don't see any reason to laught about Mr.A5OO post.

If people instead of keeping their source code would have made them to public domain it could be nice. There's a not so late demo by Da Jormas called "Major Release" released with his source code.
Of course for old stuff it's a bit hard.

What's the problem... keep the "fame" ? i keep this so i think that i have "some fame".

sorry if i'm wrong but if i offer to dump those disk it's simply to know if they need to be dump or not nothing more. Then as i've said i'll post them to amigascne to share them with people.

i don't want to spare my time dumping disk that don't need to be dump... as many of you i guess.

Remember that i offer something ... something for free... if nobody need those disk ok.. thread is closed

Sorry if i'm a bit agressive, but i ask something really simple... which disk do you think need to be dump.

ATM i've a fucking old PC, an old A500 to dump my disk, a fucking dialup 56K connection to send stuff so i don't want to spend my time nothing more.

I simply want to share & preserved stuff for other people.

i ask a simply thing : which disk need to be preserved ?

for the moment only Outlaws 01 / ERM need to be preserved ?

@bobbybearing

I am a bit confused by your post. I didn't think the idea of a demo source archive was funny enough for someone to say "mouaaaahahahahaha".

I can understand groups wanting to keep their source private back when there were big demo competitions, but you'd think that over 10 years later they'd want it preserved somewhere or shown to other programmers so they can say "look at my awesome code.. now bow down before me". (maybe they are afraid their code is not that awesome and others will ask "why the hell did you put that sloppy piece of code there?")

yep, it was only a joke about another post from Rob/Alpha One (the twins) ... about sources codes of cracktros : old crackers don't want to see their old sources intros on the net... and here is the joke... from crackers it's a bit funny, no ??
but for Mr a500, sorry for my "souvenir" about old thread. Exact, it's not about cracktros, but Demos sources, and yes I understand "private sources".
sorry for this interruption

I want a fully working version of the "It-Megademo". The one I have crashes before the "barf-game".

I'm also still looking for the "Starlight Megademo" and I hope Tosec will include my copy of Beastie Boys' Megademo in the next dat.
