Hmph, I tried to use it on a B&W (greyscale) image but the upload option failed for me - I could select the file just fine, but the upload button did nothing.
I also tried using the colorize an online image, but that didn't work either.

I guess my browser is too old - Firefox 3.6.22

Also, it currently doesn't state which file formats are supported.

I'm using Internet Explorer and *.jpg files.

I tried again with a .jpg file using both methods on Firefox and Internet Explorer - all attempts failed. I guess my browsers are too old for it to work.

I'm doing some restoration if old family photos, and figured I could try one of them. The results were unimpressive.

The halo around the coat and hat confuses me?

I get that the color guessing could be off.. but clear distinct edges should be simple.

Apart from the blue footpath and the semi-red coats it isn't too bad. I haven't seen the original picture, but b&w photo's do have halo's around people sometimes - you just have to look closely.
