MAPROM interesting, since this is a system with extended kickstart
Is it possible to map in 1MB custom kickstarts (second half being the cd32 extended ROM), or just the "first half", leaving the extended ROM be? |

MAPROM only works for the mounted ROM and supports 1MB.

Is it possible to adjust number of wait states with say a jumper if you happen to find fast 50ns SIMM or such?
Nice! The CD32 only has 16-bit ROM so MAPROM will help the OS performance! |

I added this option and tested it. You will be able to enable it from the WicherCD32 settings management program. Unfortunately, due to the lack of resources in the CPLD, I will have to give up the MAPROM function. |

70 ns are the most common SIMMs. If you expect the buyer to supply his own SIMM, please consider supporting the most common alternative.

All the different combinations to support would be a nightmare.. and of course Amiga users are very sympathetic about compatibility issues.
I personally wouldnāt support user supplied SIMMs, you get all sorts of weird geometrys of RAM. |

I like the Wicher CD32, but supporting different SIMMs will very time consuming to find the right SIMM to work.
I had it with my SX32 MK1's. It took me serveral weeks to find a 8 MB Simm which was working on 60ns and didn't crash. I own a TF328 and It works straight from the box. |

WicherCD32 supports SIMM72 modules with the size from 1MB - 128MB 50 / 60ns (70ns I have not tested). Preferred are EDO memories, however FPMs also work. In the video below, you can see an example of switching the memory controller to high speed. Not every memory can be switched to high speed. As you can see WicherCD32 can achieve a performance of 2.96 MIPS and 2838 Drystones. [ Show youtube player ] |

Good greef... between cheap and slightly cheaper, I prefer what works best (and not necessarily fastest), not what's cheapest
I suspect that's how most think |

WicherCD32 and 16MB EDO 60ns SIMM72 (Amiga use 11.5MB FastRam).
