Amiga 3000 PCB layout/trace diagrams?

PCB Rev 9/02

Does anyone have a PCB layout to assist with troubleshooting? I have the schematics and they have been really helpful, but I could test damaged traces quicker with a layout guide.

The amazing Amiga PCB Explorer unfortunately doesn't have the A3000 boards but that is the type of info I am looking for.

The clock signals on the HSYNC and VSYNC from the VGA port are way off, but the RGB port works fine. I poked at the trimmer cap at VC470 but there is still something pretty wonky, and the PCB has a decent amount of crunchyness from the battery leak.

The RGB port work fine and the sync signals there are rock solid, so I am looking around the components around the NE564 at U481. The pin header at J483 should be 14 MHz and 24MHz I guess, and I am getting readings that are off and jumping all over. The signals found at J483 feed the Amber scan doubler.

Any leads on a PCB artwork diagram would be appreciated.

Great site, no A3000 yet though:

Well snap, progress happened fast.

Found this writeup with the freqs for the 14M/28M:
https://www.tsb.space/knowledge-base...nd-adjustment/

Checked clock for _VC1 at buffer after fat agus (U204 pin 2) 3.58MHz (NTSC)

Checked FB485 near U477, _VC1 from Fat Agnus present

Checked U477 pins 1 and 2, signal not good. So going to hunt.

Ooof PCB is worse off than I realized. Lots of traces with no continuity based on schematics. Definitely will need to do a lot of trace checks.

Reamiga has what you need: https://www.reamiga.info/?page_id=40
SprintLayout free version will let you view the files and follow traces.

Thanks! I managed to open the Gerbers in KiCad and was able to reconstruct the traces around the signal generator, so the VGA output is working again. I am going to look through the schematic though and see what the other buffers in the IC are used for as I assume there could be issues there.

Props to the ReAmiga people.

If it helps, I have converted the Re-Amiga schematics to native KiCAD.
