Amiga and 'italo disco' genre

For the longest time, I didn't even know there was a genre called italo, but I've been listening to a variety of italo tunes recently... and it seems obvious to me quite a bit of Amiga music was inspired by this genre.
Not so strange as this was a popular genre in the 80s.

But I was wondering - can any of you point out Amiga tunes that sound especially inspired by this genre? Tunes where you can hear the italo influences very clearly, even if you're not used to Amiga music.

Quite a nice genre this, often very cheesy but I've always had a thing for cheesy stuff

Don't really have any good examples on hand atm, I'm no expert on this genre at all... and I've always been very bad at being able to tell what genre songs belong in, except when it's extremely obvious.

But here is a well known song I think has somewhat of an 'Amiga sound' (no idea what genre this is, sounds like italo to me but I guess it could just as easily be generic 'synth-pop' or whatever you call it... or maybe that is the same as italo... I have no idea

Well, the synths that were sampled to make ST-xx discs were popular at that time when Italo, the successor of disco and predecessor of house was popular.

There's C.C.Catch, Visage, and probably a thousand more bands that rented studios, spent 5 minutes on writing the lyrics and started hacking away at cheap synth keyboards to make something to dance to the way they wanted it...

There's a very thin line between Stock/Aitken/Waterman-style mainstream pop hits and italo of the time. Take Billy Ocean, Sabrina or even Samantha Fox, the instrumental sound is practically the same. Italo was a bit more heavy on the sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-samplesynths keys

Well then.

It's also very common to hear extremely strange sentence constructions and very thick Italian/German accents of the singers. This genre seemed to attract those.

Sounds like they turned up treble to the max and used the lowest bitrate they could find when uploading.

I was thinking the same thing a couple of months ago, although i cant point out any specific Amiga music that sounds very similar to Italo Disco so can i point out some Italo Disco musics that sound like Amiga music

I personaly love Italo Disco. I have a huge collection of records and cd's. BTW, Stock Aitken and Waterman have nothing to do with Italo Disco.

Came to think of D-mob music disk 3, which sounded like one of those official megamix-tapes that went around in the late 80s (Max Mix etc) that if I don't recall wrong contained some Italo Disco tracks:
