Saboteur vs Saboteur II - Which is Best?

Hi everyone and welcome to the February 2018 edition of the "Which Is Best?" series.
Last month I placed the arcade classics Ghosts 'n Goblins against Ghouls 'n Ghosts against eachother asking you which in your minds was the better game and after counting all the votes I can now reveal Ghosts 'n Goblins is the winner gaining 22 votes with Ghouls 'n Ghosts receiving 20 votes,...seriously close!

This month I'm going to place both of Clive Townsend's classic 8-Bit Saboteur games against eachother,...Saboteur vs Saboteur II - Avenging Angel (all versions), which do you think is the better game out of the two (not version)?!, only your votes will determine that,...happy voting!

VOTING CLOSES 15th March 2018.

Zeus.

Never played any of them. So if you don't want to count my vote, it's OK .
Based on the video, I would say the first one.

I completed sab 1 but loved sab 2 (I think the music helped) so I remember them equally fondly.

My non-official copy of Saboteur II did crash a lot so i did not explore that one as much as the first - that i loved dearly - by the way someone has ported the first saboteur to Atari XL machines:

Saboteur II. Both great games, but I really loved the sequel. For me, the setting is better defined and more varied and the first game felt a bit confined afterwards. Saboteur II felt really epic at the time, right from the hand-glider at the start. The tube-train in the first game was cool, mind.

I remember jumping on the bike and escaping the base at the end of Saboteur II, which was another great moment. Either my skills have waned considerably or I used a cheat to finish it, as it's really really hard!
