I didn't mind the sand one too much. The fog level I find irritating. But I haven't made it out of the marsh track alive just yet. I always run out of time when I miss one of those little 'extra time' pods. Don't really understand why that's in there for, seems a bit out of place.
Also is it just me or is the lack of any sort of lap indicators really annoying? I hate not knowing how far away from the next checkpoint I am or how many there are left to go. I think it's an odd omission from a driving game, particularly when the other two Lotus games have them. |

Very first go (played with keyboard). Also failed in the swamp of sorrows:
37,370,095 Since by reaching this stage I retrieved the password BAGLEY I'll now use it to practice the track and especially memorize the position of the time capsules. Quote:

Yes you're right. Honestly, is much easier driving in opposite hand, if you have too much opponents in the left hand drive, because you can avoid easily those white Lotus coming to you. You can see them in the distance and where they are coming. |

Didn't bother to practice the marshes after all. Thus failed again:

Because it helps to recover time when you bump in 5th gear. If you have auto gears car lags too much recovering from a low speed as cpu keeps it in 5th gear. In manual, a quick downshift to 4th then upshifting to 5th again really helps you, like a kind of small turbo boost. If you do this for example 10-20 times per level, it can save you precious seconds that might help you finish the level and in the end, the game.

But I will first try to complete the game with auto gears because I'm not used to play with a manual gear box for arcade games ! |

I feel your pain - maybe there should be an option where you can get out and push the car over the line or something...

Yeh, that IS a bxtch. It happened to me on the snow track and I was involuntarily doing this bouncing motion in my chair, as if it might just push the car over the line. A movement a bit like this-->

In any case I'm using the newest one now. |
