Should be doable.. The dried out belts are the only problems I've had with them so far.
Having said that, I hate this model of drive because it isn't direct drive, I never have them connected to any daily use machines.. :-D |

Very nice I just did open up one faulty RS332 drive, and the belt is stretched out..
Just thought about trying to glue the motor into new position, but new belt would indeed be a bit better solution I just dont appreciate this delivery cost of 12£ .. wonder if I could find these for cheaper elsewhere. And how do you get better access to the belt? I didnt yet figure how you remove this top assembly from the drive. |

Just remove the bit-with-the-motor-on-it, don't try to remove the top of the drive (don't ask why I suggest this ). The belt can still be put in and out, just use a toothpick or two and take your time.
I have one of these CHS belts available, PM me if you are interested. |

As I get emails every week or so, mentioning the EAB thread, I'd like to post here to say I no longer have disk drive belts - sorry! - I haven't had spare belts for a couple of years now. Seems no-one really reads the thread, I posted about it after you told me you don't stock them any more. :-)
I edited the first post with a notice that you don't have them, perhaps this will reduce the amount of hopefuls emailing you. |

Nice, and their postage fee is also way more reasonable than CHS' international shipping.
