in an odd twist, I found some of these long lost floppies back while testing ALL my floppies to see which ones were not rotten yet. Turns out some of these were backed up to 3.5" but the label was not updated with the new contents

WORKING ON THEM RIGHT NOW, some are difficult to copy (so tracks error but not always the same)

prowler was that CCS collection originally *for* 5.25" disks or did you specially fit it?

no the CCS was from a standard 880KB 3.5" floppy copied over to a cheaper 880KB 5.25" floppy (which mimicked a 3.5" drive, the miggy did not even know it was using a 5.25" drive)
