interesting software for PC CGA machine?
I'm searching for interesting software for PC CGA machine. It can be utilities, tools and maybe some games. I can not find any site with something like that (except Home of The Underdogs). It can be some useless software like fractals generator.

Die Hard was pretty good for EGA/CGA. But maybe i'm wrong. Tried it ages ago.

OK, many games tested, PC CGA 286 with mono display is NOT gaming machine, only few games were good (Strider is the best for now). I'm happy I had Amiga, not PC.

Hidden Agenda. Fascinating game, one of the few PC games from that era that I drag out every few years. Well worth checking out, even today.
More info and how to get it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_...(computer_game) |

OK, I found some more good games:
Gremlins - action game, collect mogways and kill with flashlight gremlins, I had this game on my Atari 8-bit Leaderboard Golf - digital sfx even with PC Speaker, but golf ball is almost invisible on mono display Monuments of Mars - platform game Pharaoh's Tomb - platform game Roboman - platform game Shamus - action-maze game, I had this game on my Atari 8-bit |

Yes, I forgot about Montezuma, thank you. It will be even harder now, because my 286 have cursor keys at the top of keyboard.

some other classics i still regularly play and that are worth a try:
alley cat: popcorn: My favorite brickbreaker ever! Funny to note that this is one of Frédéric Raynal's first games, he later gave us Alone in the Dark and Little Big Adventure amongst others! sopwith 2: I'll come back if I remember some others while working |

I think ball in Popcorn and bullets in Sopwith 2 will not be visible because of display refresh rate. Some games which I found still working too fast even with my 10MHz CPU...

mmmh popcorn (and maybe sopwith too) indeed has cpu-relative routines, but on 10mhz you should be fine i think!

It's not just CPU but also slow mono display. If something is moving fast it can be almost invisible to me.
