Yup, I already grabbed the updated game.
Sam's Journey has also received an update on itch.io, don't know what the changes are though. |

The Sam's Journey cartridge will take some more time to get it if you don't have it, anything important:

SD2IEC version files prepared. No game updates (not needed anyway).

I prefer my EasyFlash 3 cartridge. Don't have floppy emulators or SD card devices. Sometimes i have to use my real 1541-II though, or play in emulation.

No, as i said. I don't have floppy, tape emulators or SD card devices. EasyFlash can flash PRG+CRT compilations, start single PRGs via USB.
Separately patched EasyFlash games (Multi-Part/Multi-Disk games) and converted Disk games (via Disk2EasyFlash tool) as CRTs are flashable too (7x1 1MB slots), e.g. Project Firestart, Epyx Games series, Maniac Mansion+Zak McKracken collection, Last Ninja Collection, an exclusive Prince of Persia version (runs only on EasyFlash) etc. If you want to start nearly everthing released on your C64 without physical media then you need the Ultimate or Turbo Chameleon. I have no interest in such devices. |

Firmware for Ultimate II released with improved EasyFlash compatibility, should fix Sam's Journey saving issue.
https://github.com/markusC64/1541ultimate2/releases [edit] Yep, no more save issues in Sam's Journey. Last edited by Retroplay; 10 February 2018 at 21:03. |

Yup nice, although from the forums it seems that this version have some issues grabbing tapes to .tap files though (which is what I often use)..

Yeah I read some up, even though I don't use TAP, there seemed to be other issues too, so I am sticking with markus' 3.1d firmware for now. Seems to b working fine.

I was thinking in something.
I was just wondering if a games launcher for a real C=64 could be possible to make and use for example with an Ultimate II. Yep, I know that then you would need to store every game of all of your C=64's ones inside a folder with the images of each game and whatever info that could be shown with that launcher (well, the same that iGame or other Amiga games launchers need). But well, just an idea if it doesn't exist. Sorry if it's impossible. The thing is that you know, your games have shortened names and/or you don't remember what game is that, so I think that if you selected one and then if you could see a small image of it then it would be better to remember or see how it looks like before running it, and it also would be nice. As I say, just what I was thinking; maybe it already exists? I don't think so. Last edited by Retrofan; 20 March 2018 at 02:07. |

Why would you need a launcher when you have a 1541Ultimate?
If your filenames have short or wrong names, blame your files. Get a proper collection like Gamebase 64 and put that in the unit. |

You can access the entire USB stick and mount d64 images using the IEC interface, so a launcher should be possible to do however I am not aware of anyone who have made this.

Gamebase still uses unreadable DOS names. You have to rename the whole collection with a script or datfile.
