Determining boot drive from custom bootblock

I have a custom bootblock and want to work out which drive it has been loaded from. I expected that it would be easy to pull a unit number from the Trackdisk IOReq struct that gets passed in register a1, but... maybe not after all. Does anyone have any bright ideas? *Without* grubbing around in private areas of the Device or Unit structures if at all possible!

Cheers
