Atomix - How to cheat?
I like Atomix a lot, at least the first levels I've seen so far:-)
But I'd like to play it more relaxed. And so I'm looking for a way to disable the time limit. A cheat to disable the time limit can be found e.g. at Lemon Amiga. But it doesn't work for me. Pressing <Help> and then enter <t i m e> doesn't do anything. I tried it with the current WHDLoad slave for Atomix; could WHDLoad be the reason for the cheat not working? I did a quick check with the version that is in the DDWC (cracked & trained) but the cheat does not looks to work (if loading the game without activating the trainer). Maybe the lemon page miss precision, don't know ?...

I do not think so but I "might" be biased. I can easily add trainer options for the WHDLoad patch, I will check if there's an in-game cheat and how to activate it when I'll start updating the WHDLoad patch. |

I had a quick look at the game code, there is no check for the "Help" key and there are no level codes either, so the info on HOL regarding the cheat is obviously incorrect.

I have made a quick update to the Atomix slave and added an "Unlimited Time" trainer. I will add some more trainers later, but for now you can play with disabled time limit.

Sting, you're the man! That was quick
By the way, before removing anything, HOL mention some others cheats (easter eggs). Are they both valid or do they have to be removed as well ? |

The easter eggs in the intro were found by me (for some reason I'm not credited on HOL) when updating the WHDLoad patch to 1.3 some years ago, so they can stay as they are 100% correct. For obvious reasons.

That's what I tried today too (can confirm it works). Good to hear that the WHDLoad version gets trainer options too and that the non-working cheat is gone from HOL

Thanks malko for pointing me here. If I understand well, cheat mentioned on LemonAmiga is for Atari ST and shall be removed then?

The guy who wrote Atomix is still active, sociable and you can say hello on Facebook if you like the game. He wrote an Windows compatible version (that still works) and a sequel (Atomix II)

Hi StingRay, I hope this doesn't come across as insatiable, but would it be possible to include a level selector in the WHDLoad slave as well?
This would then create the perfect version of xyz:-) |
