Actually, TheCyberDruid pointed out that WriteCache is enabled by default (http://whdload.de/docs/en/opt.html#NoWriteCache), so simply quitting the emulator may be a bit unsafe after all, at least as long as the write cache is enabled. To be continued... |

Where is the whdload.prefs stored? Or can i edit the global WHDLoad prefs somewhere else? I want to set my own settings, just like Button Wait or Caches. Your database scanner doesn't support lha archives yet as it seems. Will you support it later (Retroplay WHDLoad Updates)?
Edit: Ah, i understand. The database isn't update to date with all WHDLoad games. Last edited by Retro-Nerd; 04 March 2013 at 01:06. |

Finally I came around to give this emulator a proper test.
In the past I tried to use it but i don't fancy much nowadays to have to tinker with constant command line input to use a program. I'm getting old and without patience to test 100 command line options to play a game. That's where the FS-UAE Launcher enters and what a fine frontend it is. With the innovative on line database with properly preconfigured games, after a scan of your games in the HD you'll have the easiest emulator to play Amiga games. I was quite impressed with it. The Launcher is very nice to use and you get relevant info of each game. And more are being added to the database each week, so the list will be improving as time goes by. And for the games that aren't configured yet i found that the default A500 config works really well right out of the box. I still have to try the netplay feature which is also another great addition to play with anyone on the other side of the planet. I'll always be using WinUAE for other stuff specially WB usage, but for games it will not go easier than this. |

Any hints for next features? A readme viewer for the WHDLoad games would be nice, or at least a link to the readme files on whdload.de. Also an extra Tab for custom configs. Could get messy to have the official database+own configs in one list.

When i scan my WHDLoad folder with all the games inside, everything is added just fine. BUT, when i try to start them i get a error message everytime. If i manually choose one .ZIP file tha game starts just fine.
Any ideas? |

Refresh your database please There was a small problem during the update yesterday, but it should be fine now. If you still have that problem after the update please post your logs here.
