How to add config options to an online database entry locally in the launcher

I know... rather long title

Basically I want to add my own settings (floppy speed, test viewport) to a config that is imported from the online database. Is there any way to add those settings without making a local 'clone' of that config?

The values from the database are just used to initialize the config in FS-UAE Launcher, so you are free to experiment with the config options. You just change them to whatever you like. But the floppy_drive_speed and viewport options have no GUI controls, so you need to open "Custom Configuration". You should see the following there:

floppy_drive_speed = 
viewport =

Just set those values (after you have selected the game entry) and close the dialog.

Unfortunately, there's currently no way to make those changes *permanent* (locally) for online database entries if that's what you wanted. But for trying out stuff before submitting changes to the database, this should work fine.
