1084S to PC Graphics Card????
Hi there. I'm a new forum member so greetings to you all...
Now, here's my question... I bought an A500 back in the old days. Around mid 90's the power supply fell on the floor and it never booted again... Oh well, I stopped using it (). Years later here I am, I'm working on a PC and I do Audio related work. I still have my old Amiga, games and MY OLD 1084S monitor. So here's the deal, as I'm not full of cash right now and I could use a dual monitor setup for my work I was wondering if there is a way to use the 1084S with my PC. I'm on a Windows XP Pro platform and I have a Albatron Gforce 5200FX AGP graphics card. Is there any chance of doing it??? P.S. BTW any ideas on how to substitute the Power Supply and revive my Amiga addiction??? |

It's simple when you have that... uhmmm... what's it's name? Video output? The one you could connect your tv to, and setup as a 2nd "monitor".
But why, i ask'ya? Why waste it on a pc? Didn't you ever wanted to get your Amiga feeling back a bit? Get an A1200, a hard drive, some memory expansion and enjoy all the games from that time! |

@pepamama
Just get a new PSU for your A500, if it's the only thing that fell on the floor. Otherwise, wire the tail from the broken Amiga PSU up to an AT or ATX PSU if you have one spare. |
