Problems downloading clasic wb

After being a bit disapointed w/ AIAB (the plan was to show a friend what Workbench looked like, not wha tit looked like when you made it look like Windows ), I found the classicWB archives at http://download.abime.net/#classicwb.

YaY, thought I to myself.

Unfortunately, they all seem to be suffering from either 'broken' archives, or, in the words of LordBug..
<LordBug> Bitch at RCK about his goofy bandwidth limiter (I think that's what he has).

If I try downloading using my web browser, they (invariably) drop before reaching 800kb, and if I use my download manager, and force it to resume, it eventually finishes, but is corrupted.

Did I just find a bad time of the month to try getting it, when bandwidth is short?

'n sorry if this is in the wrong section, but none of the others really 'jumped out' at me

Yup AIAB is very cool but there's waay to much! So I tried this abime.net classicWB thingy.
I managed to DL the lite version, looked like a good archive, but a few strange things happened:

- When unpacking, none of the items would appear in the chosen folder, I hads to drag them manually, out of the archive window, to the desktop. (????)
- Installation failed: copying of the files was ok but when I'm prompted to insert WB 2.0 ADF, I've got a returncode. Is my WB adf corrupt? Or is the archive damaged?

No you must use WB 3.0 ADF not 2.0.

Make a big hdf and copy the archive to the hdf image, then reboot with the setup adf to unzip then insert a Workbench3.0 adf when asked.

Whoops I did a typing mistake! I tried with a 3.0 adf... Sorry...
But then it can be my wb copy being rotten!

I had to rename my disk from Workbench3.1 to Workbench3.0 to make it work

So check the disk name.
