The Neo Geo hardware is a million times more powerful than the Amiga. I doubt the Amiga could even produce a decent conversion of the GBA version. It'd be a bit like playing the C64 version of Street Fighter 2. Shithouse. |

It isn't the Amiga that produces games though, it's programmers and some people do things others thought impossible by radically thinking out of the box.
Which means I don't believe someone who comes up with an idea as a passing fancy is going to get close to achieve it. Don't make Metal Slug, make a bullet hell platformer game as if it would have been made in 1994. |

I'd say you could make a fairly good AGA conversion of the GBA version, though.
Question is more, who would wanna do all that work. (also, we have a whole 30 page long thread about this games conversion ideas ) |

Whether you're gonna use ECS or Aga, it would be an incredible challenge, because the amount of work to do, not because isn't impossible to do on Amiga.

Because sandruzzo likes to discuss virtual things / concepts and not actually take any action... this should be obvious from the numerous threads and his replies.

Very poor graphics skills, and WANT to be clear, willing to do one levels, then we'll see. Would be great even to do, some sort of Development diary about it... |

You don't need any graphics skills, all the assets are there.
And yes, do one level and see how it works. Nobody asks you to convert the whole game if you don't want to. |

Ok, Like I said, not so good at Graphics conversion, into Good Looking Amiga Gfx. Picture this: at least we could set a good solid Engine to use for the a whole game inspired by Metal Slugt series Last edited by sandruzzo; 05 December 2019 at 14:59. |

You can easily get this into a format that you need. Doesn't need to look perfect, if you just want to create a proof of concept.

No there's not... but there is in relation to opening numerous threads discussing the same game / technical discussion.
Please do not do this again and use only this thread for any "Metal Sug - Possible?" discussions. |

Question:
Would the Ruff 'n" Tumble engine be good enough for a desent port of Metal Slug? Of course, with compromise's. Haven't played Metal Slug myself, and don't know if a removal of some of these 'million thing's on screen', destroy the feel of the game, or it could pass? |
