Anyone tried UAE for Xbox?
Just started messing about with it tonight and have to say i`m very impressed! Played Dune and It Came From The Desert for a few hours, seems to be full speed although the sound is a bit sketchy.
I can`t seem to get Alien Breed to work, does anyone have a VERY basic PC UAE config file that will run it so I can try and replicate the settings on the Xbox? Cheers! |

Whilst I hate seeing the two sharing the same bed, it sounds like the X-Box finally has something of worth to run on it.

Yes I've been impressed with the port to , although I haven't been able to figure out disk swaps & you have only one kind of setup (1.3 kick) for now,it seems pretty neat.
I've got to say Twisting That Halo is just fantastic & I can see why they wanted it exclusive rights to it.Very much Half-life-ish with Starship troopers undertones and a hint of MOH, IT IS AN Experience. (And BTW it probably has the best (non-gta!) soundtrack I've heard in a game since the Amiga + c64 days). @djay , yep you need to chip it ,there are non solder mods out there now ,try http://www.xbox-scene.com for more details |

All FPS are garbage. That's all they make nowadays, mindless, confusng junk that have no charm or challenge to the mind.
Echhhhh. |

Well that's YOUR Opinion. I don't like All FPS'es just well put together ones. All I'm saying as a gaming experience its definitely worth a go or two , I never liked 'god' games much Until someone said it was 'an experience' to try Populous & I loved that game , and the same goes for many other genres. Each to there own! . I suppose that Zeki Muren Manager Sim isn't out yet then ?

Been testing it a bit more with the new version (0.5, save states ) and I am more impressed than ever. Managed to finish Moonstone even with that damn crash bug that happens when you try to fight the final guardian.
The config file it uses is compatible with winUAE so I can basically take any config I know works for a game on my PC and with a few tweaks it works ok on the Xbox. Only problem I have found so far is that it only emulates one joystick button so playing the CD32 version of Pirates! Gold did not go all that well. Your Xbox does need to be modded but that is a small price to pay, this and XBMP make the Xbox a great purchase, to be honest I have not played a actual Xbox game for ages! Last point, using UAE on the Xbox goes a long way to addressing the way emulators "feel" on the PC. It so much closing to the real thing, I may have to pack up my Amiga`s and reclaim my spare room! |

Only good if you're unlucky enough to already own an X-Box. A real Amiga is still the better option, obviously.

Problem with modded X-boxes is that you won't be able to play online if you've got a modded one. As "anti cheat" measures the X-box live network detects mod chips, if it finds one you're permanently banned with that box.
