[Wicher 500i] Saving RAM configuration

Hi,

I'd like to know how is it possible to save the ram configuration in the wicher prefs. (I have the 2.3 installer and Rev 2.a card version).

So in the prefs option my "RAS (1,3)" is always off. I have a double side memory and I want to switch always on. But each time I switched off the amiga, the Ram return off, even when I saved the prefs !

So I tried to edit the wicher.ini file by changing RAS="1" by "0", but it didn't work to.

Any advice please... ?

Is it retaining your CPU speed preference too? When I set mine to 33 MHz, then boot SysInfo from floppy, it reverts back to 25MHz.

What size memory are you using?

No the CPU is always 25Mhz too.
I'm using a 8Mb memory, trying with 8Mb single side model and the issue is the same. But for me it's not a big problem, I just have to change the ras after the first start and after all works fine, of course until I swith off.

Are you booting from a compact flash into Workbench, then using WHDLoad? Mine retains the settings that way, every time. If I load via DF0 an old Amiga Format cover disk with SysInfo on, it reverts back to 25MHz.

Have you ever got the "WicherBootMenu" to work? Allegedly you hold down left mouse button on boot up or resetting and it appears. Never got mine to work.

Maybe if you intend to boot from floppy, then the use the WicherBootMenu, select your settings then load. But like I said, mine never seems to work.

I also seem to have to run the installer, each time I want to view or amend the settings. I thought there would be a program loaded into Workbench somewhere for it. But I can't see it.
