Using the Sierra games would be very biased the other way around as they're horrible ports. I can use some Lucasarts games instead, they knew how to port games properly.
I don't need to include the worst possible Amiga ports to be objective. EDIT - I know I'm missing out on some great games, I remember being shocked at how bad many PC versions are.. but I cannot remember any of the games I could use a few more games Last edited by laffer; 07 January 2008 at 22:12. |

Haha
I'm trying to be at least slightly objective though. I just disagree that putting the awful Sierra ports in there would be objective in the first place. They're the worst ports I've ever seen and put the Amiga in an unfairly bad light. I am putting some decent PC games in there where the only difference is that the PC versions have worse sound. The fact is that back in the late 80s and very early 90s, a lot of games were superior in some way or another on the Amiga and that's the impression I want to give. It's just for fun though, I love a lot of DOS games |

Yeah. I love most of the Sierra games for instance.. they're awesome. I would've included some of them if the Amiga ports weren't absolutely horrible.
But yeah, I prefer the PC for 2d adventure games and several RPGs as well. But I still need more games for this video |

Yes. However, the PC version of Rick 1 only supports PC speaker and has much worse graphics.

AFAIK, the Amiga conversion was pretty good compared with the arcade. |

So far I've recorded clips of -
It Came from the Desert (intro) Wings of Fury (ingame) Gods (ingame) Lost Patrol (ingame) First Samurai (part of intro) Shufflepuck Café (ingame) Lotus 3 (ingame) Stunt Car Racer (ingame) The Three Stooges (part of intro) Barbarian (ingame) North & South (ingame) Duck Tales (ingame) Winter Games (ingame) Rick Dangerous (ingame) I don't think I need a lot more.. I figure I'll show around 15-20 secs of each version of each game. |

The scrolling is the same as on the Amiga version, tried it on my Pentium Pro PC but I get no sound since it's expecting an old 8bit Soundblaster or Adlib card with IRQ7
