Have had the odd whdload game have no display, one was oh no more lemmings. But showed up fine using an svideo adapter. Games are stuck to the right too if you're using just the straight DVI out. But still look great, very crisp. |

I ordered mine shortly after the MKII came out, still waiting for the updates.
It would be nice if customers could atleast get a notice on what is going on. |

Am waiting for it as well, but now my MkII stopped working completely. :/
Guess I'll have to take it all apart and put it back together and see if anything is not where it should be.. Edit: Apparently the ribbon cable had come off the small DVI-pcb. It's now working again. When mounted using one screw it can rotate every time the DVI cable is connected/disconnected, causing the cable to come loose. I need to make a back plate to hold the DVI connector in place.. Installed mkII in my a4000d today. Picture looks just fine...like the mkI on my 1200 with no extra's, except for the picture being to the far right...leaving a fat black area on the left.
Pretty much the same level of banding. Superplus would not allign properly...leaving a little gray on the right. Banding improves slighty. HiGHFX in 1024x768 fits perfectly, but is acceptably fast in max 64 colors methinks. Banding seems the same as with superplus. Runs a little sluggish, and is heavy on the ram ( with backdrop ), but I'll stick with this one. All normal modes (WB or games) are faaaaar off to the right.' HD720 is a little off to the right....and somethings jut not right...the option on my monitors to manually adjust the picture gets locked out. |

Strange Screen Issue
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue (see pics). I'm using the MK2 Beta Config Tools at PAL Hi Res Lace 800x600, It happens so infrequently that it does not bother me and only requires a reboot to fix. Tho sometimes it wil boot up like this and I heve noticed it does happen when exiting out of a WHDLoad game sometimes. I can use the Amiga for hours and everthing is OK, I've cheked that the Indi is seated correctly and it is. Anyone else have this ? and as I said doesn't bother me as it rarely happens. Just curious. |

If anyone is interested I've managed to create a custom VGA res that does PAL 320x256 full screen.
In VGA Modes I simply copied the 800x600 60Hz mode and changed the Pixles/Line settings to 640/512 and hit apply. Noticed the H-Freq and V-Freq had now increased so dropped the clock from 39.909MHz to 32.759 MHz and hit apply then closed the VGA Modes box, in the config tool I selected PAL and my custom resolution, hit apply and saved the config on exit of the config tool. Booted up a floppy game and it now fills the entire screen and horizontal scrolling is quite good. The downside is the Horizontal/Vertical alignment was out so had to adjust it in the config tool so PAL floppy games are centred on the screen but now PAL workbench programs are misaligned This was done on a Samsung SyncMaster 226BW 22" LCD Widescreen monitor. I don't think this is to be used on a CRT monitor though in case it damages it, can someone clarify this? Last edited by BarryB; 04 October 2013 at 22:44. |

Here you go! I could have made you wait until next Saturday and brought it to Play Expo
On a brighter note I solved the H/V Offset by adjusting the Overscan in Prefs, so now both PAL Workbench programs and PAL Floppy games are aligned correctly. I should also add I was using v26 of the cores and config tool v1.2 |

Hope it's some good or can be used as a base to get a compatible config for your monitor. I know I've tried many a time to get this sorted and could never fathom it out but today something just clicked and it worked.

Thanks for that info and cfg BarryB, i will also try it our the next time i am on my A1200.
Edit- I tried out your cfg but it was stretched on my 4:3 screen. But i did have another go at my own custom cfg and managed to get a Fullscreen 640x512 mode working for games It's still not 50hz and has no vsync, but apart from that it looks great. I based mine off the preset Pal 640x480 option, then changed it to 640x512 with 25.339 clock with 56.863 V-Freq, tweaked the H/V Offsets(H-71 V-14) to centre it. And it's working nicely atm for whdload games, but i have not tried a floppy game yet. Edit- Just tried some floppy games and they fill the screen and are centered as well, i must of just lucked it Will post my cfg here soon! Last edited by hansel75; 06 October 2013 at 14:14. |
