On winuae, use the SPScapslib.dll at the root where Winuae.exe stands.

Next, you can't write the CTraw back to disk, because it's copylocked.

Just compared your version and SPS 882. Both looks the same to me in WinUAE, A1200 vanilla quickstart. WinUAE refresh indicator shows blue ingame, so the scrolling is also the same speed (16,66 fps iirc). Not worth the trouble. This game really need the full 60fps and 6 buttons. The Amiga verson maybe looks like Street Fighter II, but gameplay wise it's not even close. I prefer IK+, Shadow Fighter or Fightin' Spirit on the Amiga.

So I can't actually test on a real A1200 to see if there's actually any real change?

Well in fact, it appears that after installing with Galahad installer, the files CRCs correspond to the IPF 882.... (deception :/ )

So this IPF release is the A1200 Compatible version.

this IPF is public, so you can try it.....

Street Fighter II - The World Warrior was ground breaking / cult and the first real fighter game that kicked everything off

Your dates are a bit off though:

... Street Fighter II - The World Warrior in 1991
... Mortal Kombat in 1992
... The King Of Fighters '94 in 1994

Have to disagree with the first real fighter, groundbreaking stuff, it was a classic game sure, but it was an just an evolution of fighting games that had been before.

Well ok then, you could classify the first being Street Fighter back in 1987

Doubt it, games like Yie Ar Kung-Fu pre-dated it by 2 years

Not really a 6 button / special moves type of fighter game though is it?

...anyway, enough OT from me.

Last OT post from me!

I was comparing to this, no mention of 6 buttons etc!

“Street Fighter II - The World Warrior was ground breaking / cult and the first real fighter game that kicked everything off”

It was no more than a stepping stone in the evolution of games, some stones are better than others obviously.
