Coverdisks that are also in Games

I had a quick search and didn't find a similar thread. I'm checking coverdisk images at the moment and found one that is identified as a 'demo-playable' and not also as a coverdisk. Is this intentional or should those disks be in both DATs?

The disk in question is 'Rugby League Coach (demo-playable) (1994)(Audiogenic)'.
It should also be 'Amiga Action #58 (1994-05)(Europress Publications)(GB)(Disk 2 of 2)[June 1994]'.

It's a tricky subject...

If the disk contains a demo of a game among other things, it should be in coverdisk.

If the disk contains only a demo and it is exclusively dedicated to the magazine, it should be in coverdisk.

If the disk contains a generic demo, there may be some arbitration. The unaltered or very close version goes in coverdisk. Hacked or trained versions can go into Games to give visibility.

Exemple with Beneath a Steel Sky Demo

Code:
   +-Common disk______*[9CD88CE7] One, The #65 - Amiga (1994-01)(EMAP Images)(GB)(Disk 1 of 2)[Feb 1994]
   | |_Overdump________[82FDFD78] One, The #65 - Amiga (1994-01)(EMAP Images)(GB)(Disk 1 of 2)[o][Feb 1994]
   |_BAMCopy___________[00C0D027] Beneath a Steel Sky (demo-playable) (1993-11-17)(Virgin)

 --------------------
| s/startup-sequence |
 --------------------
| df0:steelsky |
 --------------------

[5E119DA7] Amiga Format #055 (1993-12-23)(Future Publishing)(GB)(Disk 2 of 3)[Jan 1994]
[C53E9A65] Amiga Format #055 (1993-12-23)(Future Publishing)(GB)(Disk 2 of 3)[o][Jan 1994]

 ---------------------------------------------
| s/startup-sequence |
 ---------------------------------------------
| :echo "Amiga Format and Revolution present" |
| :echo "Beneath a Steel Sky" |
| :echo "Please wait..." |
| :steelsky |
 ---------------------------------------------
However, I am aware that there are plenty of mistakes, one thing and its opposite in TOSEC. But things are getting better little by little and I correct when people point out obvious mistakes. So don't hesitate to contribute here

Okay, I think I get the idea There's a good amount of checked disks on the file server now that seem to be not in TOSEC. If you ever get the time let me know

It will be my pleasure, I will take a break now that the DAT files are delivered for a next publication (except last minute correction...) but early next year, we can start!

Hello,
I am back in business! Could you give me more info on your first post?
How do you make the connection between the disk and the coverdisk? Did you make a dump?

I didn't create the disk image myself, but when cleaning up the coverdisks on the file server I noticed that a disk labelled 'Amiga Action #58 (1994-05)(Europress Publications)(GB)(Disk 2 of 2)[June 1994]' was renamed to the playable demo. After checking the cover disk content using the magazine cover:

it seemed to be at least very likely that it is indeed the same disk

Actual missing disk :
Issue 107 (Christmas 1996) Disk 1 - Jetpilot

Note:

You are more than welcome Maybe we should start a coverdisk hunt thread? Let me know what you think and if we should start it in the TOSEC or the file server subforum.
