Just a minor point, but some uniquely Amiga orientated titles would miss a mention sadly this way just because it received a conversion. Even back then, unless the title was something was something absolutely unique,or fairly dire, then there usually was multiple versions produced. In that respect it would've been something the publisher preferred.
Games that were notable for their appearing initially on the Amiga (& thus could be considered "full-blooded" attempts to use the host machine), ala Lemmings, SOTB etc. (& even lesser Amiga debutants like Unreal etc. for that matter), are all remembered for their Amiga-ness yet because they received a conversion doesn't rate a mention-a little unfair,I think! |

I have to say i share your pain, Unless some one is posting a huge list of games you can ONLY play with an amiga (which is worthy in respects to itself) it will miss out on some great titles

Yes, I agree there's a lot of titles that are typical for the amiga, and worthy a mention when talking about the best amiga games - even though they recieved a conversion at some time.

I believe my friend that is testement to the game if it gets converted surely that means there is such a high demand for an amiga game across other platforms?. Look at worms and lemmings (not that i personall liked the latter).

Was Slam Tilt ever released on any other platform than the Amiga? I can't recall ever seeing a PC version. (Unless it was fan ported, to name an example, Twintris was ported to the PC by an aquaintance of mine)

It was released for windows in 1997. Maybe you can get it on Abandonware sites.

Is there an Amiga ORIGINALS thread as opposed to this Amiga EXCLUSIVE one? I did a search on EAB and nothing came up.
What I mean is, is there a list of games some where, any where, that only lists games that came out FIRST on the Amiga, regardless of ports/conversions? This to me would be much more interesting, as I only use Amiga or Amiga emulation for games that AREN'T on other systems or more to the point are simply BETTER on the Amiga because they were developed with the custom chipset of it in mind, by gurus. Any one know? Thank you kindly! :-) |

Crazy Sue Goes On.
The franchise may not be Amiga-exclusive, but this game in particular wasn't released on any other platform. |
