A1200 Accelerator Board confusion
I've just bought a second hand accelerator board for my A1200. The guy was not sure of the speed. Is there a quick and easy way to see what processor the machine now has? The board also came with 32 meg of ram which is running perfectly.

The name of the CPU is printed on it´s upper side and have a look for the oszillator, it will tell the speed (40Mhz ? 50Mhz ? also printed on it) ..... If you want a quick test, just try SysInfo or any other Benchmark test on your Amiga

The oscillator speed can sometimes be misleading. I have seen Amiga accelerators where the CPU is rated at say 030/50Mhz yet the oscillator is 25Mhz. Using SysInfo as recommended by Retroman is probably a better way to go. It can be found on Aminet at:

Im sure my amiga is the other way round, its a 040, the ossy says 50 (or 40, cant remeber) but sysinfo says 25mhz

If it´s a 040er Board, the Oszi Mhz is half of the printed, so yours definitely is a 040/25 Mhz. ..... So SysInfo definitely is correct
