Silmarils Protracker Format
I m new on EAB.
In the past i have tried to rip those strange Silmarils PT-Format. But i dont know,if this rips are 100% correct. I have found here a rip of "Robinsons Requiem (Titlemusic)". This rip looks different as my own. Perhaps anybody has 100% correct rips or can do this. Unripped Silmarils-Games are:Robinsons Requiem Transarctica Bunny Bricks Thanks! |

you're right, i remember they looks like some packed pattern.
On Wanted Team page there's some Silmarils modules, but modules you request doesn't seems to be available. Perhaps you can request them on the guestbook |

The mods from silmarils-games which on wanted teams site exists are from early silmarils productions and have special replay-routine (player available).
Silmarils games after 1993 uses special protracker format. In my Opinion the patterns are not packed. The Module must reconstruct to normal Protracker. I dont know,if my attempt was succesful, sounds ok |

In this format everything but the patterns isn't protracker at all, and rebuilding a normal protracker module from it is far from easy, as the script system chooses which samples to use and it may vary from one subsong to another.
I have a DT player (mine, not the WT one) for both the old format and this new one, however it may or may not play yours (those from Transarctica should be ok). If your goal is simply to play those songs it might do the job. |

Sure I can upload it but you'll have to wait a few days as I don't have access to my miggy right now (the file will be here on monday anyway).

Thank you Meynaf!
Can you upload both, player and xfd-slave. This would be nice. Do you know if this DT-Player works with Deliplayer for PC? |

Yes I will upload both. Note that unlike WT's one, my xfd decruncher produces files that can still be used by the game engine.
Frankly I don't know if the player will work with DeliPlayer. This has to be tested. What I can say is that I'm not doing anything weird in it, so it has good chances of working, but you never know. If it doesn't work, you may try with UADE, which, unlike DP, is still maintained. Also it's possible that the files you try aren't played because they're doing unusual stuff in their scripting part (DT should emit an "initialization error" message in that case). For now, the following have been tested : Fetiche Maya, Targhan, Colorado, Starblade, Crystals of Arborea, Ishar trilogy (both AGA and ECS versions), Transarctica. If you can upload some others for me to check, they'll be welcome. Last edited by meynaf; 13 February 2008 at 10:24. Reason: typo |

It's there (in the zone) ! For ppl unlucky enough to miss it, it is also available here :
http://meynaf.free.fr/tmp/silm.lzx I got the test musics, and here are the results. No problem for Robinson's requiem, however the small files of Bunny bricks (those bobua0-bobua4.co files) were unrecognised - but where are the samples anyway ??? Note that if you have the appropritate decruncher genie loaded in DT, then you can play crunched files directly (I do it with the xad/xfd decruncher genie). Also note that even though files decrunched by WT's decruncher are incorrect (they've stripped out the main header !), they are also played. |

As meynaf wrote:"Robinsons Requiem" works fine!
"Bunny Bricks"---only 3 mods works, others have strange format, probably must reconstruct. Your Question:Simply copy XFD-slave to Directory Libs:XFD and it works! You can use AFilter or XPKatana to unpack Files. Unpacked mods works even on Deliplayer for PC. check it! Last edited by mai; 17 February 2008 at 13:48. |

Hi Muerto!
Its very strange! I have checked XFDdecrunch(CLI) and it works. However, something went wrong at your attempt. I will upload my XFD-Slaves Directory. Tell me about! |

Transarctica (bolost.do)
Hello Meynaf
Thank you for new Silmarils Player and Decruncher, great job! Its because of "bolost.do". In my opinion the file "bolost.do" is not the complete module. Only 1 sample is in it.The other samples are taken from module "bolieu.do". When you play the game you can hear the difference. The samples are shared! Probably the right samples must added to module? Is it easy for you to do anything? I can upload my reconstructed protracker mods for test if you wish. Perhaps its help for you. But remember i am not a coder,i have simply hex-edited the files!(99,9%correct rip i think). Best ones wishes maimai |

This is the problem of separate samples once again. The player must have a way to find out which file it must load. And here, nothing links bolost.do with bolieu.do...
The only thing I can do for now is to reject files with separate samples. Since those files are very rare, maybe a reconstructed protracker mod is the best thing to do. |

Boston Bomb Club
Hello Meynaf!
I have found another unsupported Silmarils-Mods(old Format). Its the music from the game "Boston Bomb Club". And again it seems to be a problem with seperate samples. I will upload files in the zone for test. Perhaps you can do anything. |

Hello, is it possible to put all the known mods in the zone??
******** EDIT *********** @meynaf Could you be interested in making more players for DT/DP/EP?? Got quite a few unsopported PTK ones. Last edited by Muerto; 08 March 2008 at 14:08. |
