nice. Do you have this as a backdrop for workbench 640x512. Am planning to use it on my 1200 which is running Classic WB Advanced. If not, you have any links where I can get the backdrop (background image for Workbench)?

Thanks

Ironically it's CGI

Which makes me wonder... Why aren't there some/more nice artistic photos of Amiga computers ?

Yeah, but it shows the Amiga 'vibe' so clearly. Do you know where I can find this as a 640x512 backdrop for Workbench?

This is a widescreen resolution wallpaper. You either have to cut it left/right or squeeze it (looks ugly) for 640x512.

Can you fix it for me and convert it so I can use it as backdrop. Everything has to be perfect. Thanks

I can try for you in Photoshop (and then PaintShop Pro to convert to .IFF) if you like?

...am presuming that you need it in .IFF format for use on a real Amiga? If not, what type of graphic file?

It will look horrible in 640x512 in 32/256 colors. This wallpaper is way too detailed. And it's in a widescreen aspect anyway. Not worth the trouble imo.

Retro is right of course. The original file has the following pixel width & height attributes:

Two options really;

a) crop (but then you loose loads of the good stuff)
b) resize the completed image to 640x512 (but will look out of proportion) i.e:

I could however scale to a width of "640" and fill the empty area black (or any other desired colour) i.e:

...I could drop an Amiga logo in that black space though or something else?

Black bars (Maybe one with grey bars too) with Amiga logo would be nice Also, make it 64 colours for use on my Amiga 1200 and also make a 16 colour version for ECS Amigas. Thanks

Maybe make one fullscreen version where you just cut as much as needed of left part to make it fit 640x512. As long as the table with the Amiga and 1084S shows that would be most important

*** GM's; probably best if these Amiga background image posts get moved to another section. Maybe "support.other" ***

Ok, been playing around but my Photoshop skills are not what they used to be

Anyway, here's a first draft:

This is 640x512 in size but still needs to be converted to .IFF format (and the right colour depth) so not sure how it will look on an Amiga in the end...

turrican9; your comments / amendments / changes welcome and I'll have a bash

Wow! That looks nice! If you convert it to IFF and for 64 colours I will test it on my Amiga 1200. You could also try what I suggested in the post above. Would also be nice with 16 colour versions for ECS Amigas. Amiga 1200 can handle 256 colours but it will eat up much of the chipram so 64 colours is a nice balance for Amiga 1200 I think

Oops, you did say just the Amiga computer on a 640x512 screen:

...again still need to save as .IFF and work out how to set as only 64 colours.
