Question Explorer 2260

From Total Amiga Vol.2 (PPC games that were developed at the time Winter 1998 - 1999) :
A list of some of the more interesting looking PPC games on the horizon:
• Explorer 2260 - Promises to be the best space trading game since Elite,
on any platform.

Has anyone information on this game?

I rememeber this being on the go for a couple of years I think. It was a few years ago now, and my impression was that somebody who loved Babylon 5 and Elite but couldn't actually program 3D code was behind it.

It was talked about and talked about with lots of enthusiasm and huge ambitions, but I got the impression that they didn't really have anybody to actually sit down and program it.

I think regular development updates appeared in cu amiga magazine for along while. I was more interested in another unfinished game Lambda at the time which looked to be coming along nicely.

Yes, I got the strong impression that Lambda had more substance to it, and the people behind it were fully capable of achieving their goal.

Was there ever a demo of either game?
